RELEASE: DFMEP Animal Transport

Hey guys, due to some disorganization on my part, versions of Autumn Oaks: DFMEP were released without any animal transport, unedited versions, or with only one of them, I apologize for this, and the files have been available in my Discord since I realized my mistake, but since everyone doesn’t have Discord, they are now on my site.

Up first we have the John Deere Gator from Blacksheep Modding, the “skip” has been edited to hold base game cows, as well as the added beef cattle. Click here to go to the download page for the John Deere Gator.

The “skip” is located in the trailer section of the store.

Next up, we have the Wilson Ranch Hand from Misfitz Toyz Lab, to which I’ve added the ability to carry the added beef cattle, the ability to carry the basegame animals was already there. Click here to go to the download page for the Wilson Ranch Hand.

Editing Animal Transports for Autumn Oaks: DFMEP

Gator or Ranch Hand aren’t your cup of tea? No big deal, I’ll show you how to edit any animal transport mod to hold beef cattle.

Step 1. Extract the mod. If you are doing this in your mods folder, move the zipped version out, as the game will only read the zipped version if it has to choose between a folder and a zip.

Step 2. Locate your mod’s XML, it’s usually the name of the mod. Open it, preferably with Notepad++

In this case, the mod’s XML is WilsonRanchHand.xml

Step 3. Press CTRL + F and run a search for cow.

Step 4. Duplicate the entire line that says cow by selecting the text, and the spacing on the line below, and press CTRL + D

Should look like this before you duplicate

Step 5. Rename the second “cow” line to be cowbeef, and save the file. If you want to send the mod to someone, add it to a .zip file, make sure you zip it from the top directory, and not the folder. See image below for a demonstration.

Step 6. Load it up in game and test it, it should work, if not, retrace your steps.
